About Us
Starting this self-care company is a personal journey for us here at Guilty Pleasurz. It came about after personal experiences of not prioritizing my self-care. There was a point in my life where I was a stay-at-home mother that didn't take care of herself. I subsequently got divorced and raised 6 children alone. I suffered physical and emotional ailments because I didn't prioritize my own self-care and well-being. As my children got older, I started realizing that if I'm not good then it affects everyone else. So, in essence self-care is everybody's care. Because it comes from the top. Whether it is a mother, father, grandparents, foster parents, etc. We all need to take care of ourselves before we start trying to take care of others. We here at Guilty Pleasurz believes self-care should be a celebration of self-love and empowerment and that taking that time for yourself is not selfish but essential.
